Letter to the President

July 17th, 2007 - No Comments »

Your stupid drug czar said we are terrorists because we smoke pot.
Then, is God the Ultimate Terrorist because He Created pot in the first place?
Reality: Pot, which is called “weed” because it grows robustly from Alaska to Argentina, is expensive because it is only available via the Black Market. The Black Market exists for […]

出ている釘、Squeaky Wheel

March 26th, 2007 - No Comments »

両方のことわざ,ご存知か? 熟考するのがいやなのであろうか? 人気ではない世界へようこそ。Politics and religion.
I have more to say on this, but I’m tired and it’s time to go to sleep now.

Letter to Lincoln Davis

December 9th, 2006 - No Comments »

Dear Mr. Davis,
I have written to you before about the “War On Drugs”, which is in fact only a “war” on recreational use of certain drugs, but that’s not a politically palatable sound-bite. An even more accurate and less politically palatable appellation would be “Prohibition”. You’ll never hear the pedantic “Drug Warriors” use that word […]

Vocabulary Help Please

November 27th, 2006 - One Comment »

I’ve been looking for a word that describes an unhealthy degree of interest in blood-n-guts things, or person-harms-person things that one might typically see, and some might sometimes applaud, during prime-time on the idiot box.
I looked up the words “prurient” and “salacious” in my Oxford English Dictionary, both of those words have specifically to do […]

Prohibitionists’ Motivations

July 20th, 2006 - No Comments »

The most obvious motivation to prohibit any form of recreation is fear. The Prohibitionists list the various evils that people, presumably all people, will surely do if they are permitted to recreate by, for instance, smoking a joint:
They tell us it’s a “gateway drug”, by which they mean that more and more will […]

Letter to Doug Giles

June 4th, 2006 - No Comments »

Dear Doug,
I’m a Born-Again Apostate. I do believe in One Omnipotent, Omniscient God though, and I believe God to be the Author of All Creation.
I have a hundred disturbing questions; I hope you will indulge me as I address just one to you today.
Given that we owe our existence, our prosperity, our […]

Mistake??

May 14th, 2006 - No Comments »

It is acknowledged by “religious conservatives” that God is the Creator, the Author of All Things, seen and unseen… including marijuana and all other psychoactive substances, prohibited and unprohibited.
To prohibit any of those substances is to assert that God simply must have made a “Mistake” in putting them here, that we the “Unwashed” […]

Why I Publicly “Blaspheme”

March 22nd, 2006 - No Comments »

“The Emperor Wears No Clothes”.
God didn’t put me here to be popular or to be obsequious. Popularity is just fine, but it should be nobody’s sine qua non, and it is certainly not mine.
Why, you may ask, do I have a link to my political/ religious blog on my JRPottery webpage?
I do […]

The Question Remains Unanswered

January 24th, 2006 - No Comments »

Steve responded again:
John - When you are totally innacurate in the first paragraph, I see
no reason to read further since the credibility of whatever you would
have to say is totally shot.
You have listened to the show enough to know that when the music
starts playing we have a hard break and have to go to […]
